Donald L. "Pinky" Brouse

Donald L. “Pinky” Brouse, 86, of Walnut Street, St. Marys, PA, died, Friday, November 10, 2017 at the DuBois Nursing Home after a short illness.  A son of the late Willard and Alice (Saline) Brouse, he was born in Kersey on October 24, 1931.  Donald married Ethel (Fritz) on February 23, 1956, who preceded him in death in 1995.

Besides his parents and his wife, Donald was predeceased by two grandchildren, Ronny Scott Brouse and Will Charles Brouse.

Donald is survived by his three children, Donald W. Brouse of St. Marys, Ronald T. (Lisa) Brouse of Weedville and Thomas M. (Ann) Brouse of Leesburg, VA; nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
 

Donald served in the US Navy from 1952 – ’55 and retired from St. Marys Carbon Company.  He was a member of the St. Marys American Legion and the St. Marys Eagles.  Pinky was an avid golfer and enjoyed the sport with many family and friends.  Born in Kersey and raised in Bennetts Valley, he has been a St. Marys resident since 1956.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. and also on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 10 – 11 a.m., at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home, Penfield, PA.

Funeral services will be held, 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, at the funeral home with Luther Nelson, Jr.

Military Honors will be accorded by the Bennetts Valley American Legion Post 978 Burial Detail.

Burial will take place in the Maria Lutheran Cemetery, Kersey, PA.
