Clarence F. “Bucky” Maholtz, 83, of Horseshoe Drive, Penfield, PA, died, Sunday, May 20, 2018 at the DuBois Nursing Home, after a lengthy illness. A son of the late Nicodemus and Josephine (Kowalski) Maholtz he was born in Tyler on June, 26, 1934 and married Jessie (Newell) in 1959, who survives in Penfield.
Also surviving are his children, David (Patti) Maholtz of DuBois, Tracy (Tyrone) Murray of California and Wendy (Thomas) Treasure of New Florence, PA; five grandchildren, Brandon and Keith Maholtz, Marcus (Courtney), Matthew and Mariah Murray; and a great-granddaughter, Rylan Murray.
Besides his parents, Bucky was preceded in death by his brothers, Mickey and Joseph Maholtz, and a sister, Gertrude Paulhamus.
Bucky served in the US Army for two years; he owned several service stations in the area, including Penfield, DuBois and Ridgway. He also worked at Dave’s Landscaping; Thompson & Buck; Beard Oil Company; Walmart; and last worked in the Houtzdale prison Commissary for several years retiring in 1999.
He was a graduate of Huston Township High School, member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force and had been attending the Hickory United Methodist Church. His hobbies included hunting fishing and gardening.
There will be no public visitation.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Burial will take place in the Morningside Cemetery of DuBois, PA
