Bettty Rae (Reider) Philp

Betty Rae Philp, 75, Weedville, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Highland View Healthcare after a lengthy illness. She was born on March 11, 1942 in Erie, PA, the only child of the late Hilary Charles & Esther Elizabeth (Bastow) Reider. On June 25, 1960, she married Robert Philp, who survives in Weedville.

Betty is also survived by five children, Mrs. Ronald (Lisa) Brouse of Weedville, Holly Rouse of Wilmington, NC, Mark Philp of Ridgway, Mrs. Sam (Stacey) Dawkins, Greenville, SC, and Mrs. Brian (Heather) Jones of Raleigh, NC, ten grandchildren & ten great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Betty was also predeceased by a grandson Ronald Brouse.

Betty was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School, a homemaker all her life and she loved spending time with her family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 9am until 11am at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home in Penfield. Services will follow at 11am at the funeral home.
