Anthony "Hap" Durian, Sr.

Anthony “Hap” Durian, Sr., 84, of Rasselas Road, Wilcox, PA, died, unexpectedly, at home, Wednesday, November 1, 2017.

He was born on June 13, 1933 in Tarentum, PA, a son of the late John and Mary (Dzurian) Durian.

Besides his parents, Hap is predeceased by his wife, Rose “Sunny” (Feil) Durian; a daughter, Debbie Elmquist; 2 Great-Grandsons, Zachary Feil and Jax Stone; his brothers, Paul, Andrew, Frank, Steve Durian, Joe, Peter and John Jezik; his sisters, twin sister Ann Durian “Sister Mary Gemma”, Mary Arvay and Margaret Ozimek.

Hap is survived by his Children, Anthony (Kathy) Durian, Jr. of Johnsonburg, Joseph (Brandy) Durian of Wilcox, Rick (Linda) Feil of Callary, PA, Sandy (Butch Siebert) Feil of Gibsonia, PA; twelve grandchildren; twenty two Great-Grandchildren; two Great-Great-Grandchildren; and a sister, Vern Fajbik of Tarentum, PA.

He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict, worked at the Johnsonburg Paper Mill for several years, many local manufacturing plants throughout the years and retired from Airco Carbon in 1998.

A graduate of Tarentum High School, Hap has lived in Wilcox since 1959 and is a member of the St. Anne Catholic Church.

Hap had a passion for music, playing with numerous local bands and musicians, including playing just about anywhere you asked him to play; most notably: local charities, clubs, nursing homes, weddings, etc…

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Ubel Funeral Home, Johnsonburg, PA.  A funeral service will follow the visitation on Saturday, 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home with Father David Wilson.

Military Honors will be accorded by the Johnsonburg/Ridgway Servicemen.  Military members are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 12:45 p.m., Saturday.

Burial will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Rasselas, PA
